You probably wouldn’t know it from watching his role in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ or as his long tenure as a wrestler in the WWE, but Dave Bautista is a very shy person and opens up about his social awkwardness while as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Bautista is a larger-than-life person who has been in front of the camera for decades, though it turns out he never had any plans for this. He wasn’t even in sports or knew he had any athleticism until he was 16, and it turns out it was because other Filipinos in his school asked him to try out for the wrestling team.

While he answers questions from Fallon, he is noticeably nervous and rubs his arms and legs as a self-soothing mechanism. Many viewers didn’t realize this about Bautista and it’s amazing the path his career has taken!

Signing on for the leading role in Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’ seems to have catapulted him up another tier in his acting career and in the same interview he gushes over his director and how great he was.

Viewers commented on the clip, “Dave Bautista blushing is fucken adorable.”, “As a wrestling fan, it makes me happy to see wrestlers go on and achieve more success”, “You can see it in his face that he genuinely doesn’t believe he’s there”, “Loved Army Of The Dead. Dave Bautista killed it in the film.” and “Bro how can u not love batista… hes so cool and humble. Thats the type of person u want every hollywood star to be like.”
