It looks like he’s been completely ousted from their inner circle. There’s a new report that says both Prince Charles and Prince William will be having meetings to discuss the future of the monarchy. Apparently, it’s a future that doesn’t have Prince Harry in in it. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Charles and William know that there’s some work that needs to be done now that Prince Philip has passed away.
What’s more, they are left to pick up all of the pieces following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rather damaging interview with Oprah Winfrey last month, in which they seemingly threw the entire royal family under the bus in less than two hours.
Prince Charles And Prince William In Talks Over The Future Of The Monarchy – Without Prince Harry
Apparently, sources say that Prince William and Prince Charles, along with Queen Elizabeth, will discuss whether or not they can continue to do the thousands of engagements that are expecting of them each year, or if they need to cut them down.
Harry and Meghan did 558 jobs between them in 2019, meaning the Royals have to review how these will be redistributed.
One insider close to the situation said, “The question is whether you start off by deciding how many patronages and engagements there should be, and then work out how many people are needed to achieve them, or whether you decide how many people there should be, which will dictate how many engagements and patronages they can take on.”
As many fans can recall, Prince Charles had wanted a smaller monarchy made up of the Queen, Prince Philip, himself, his wife the Duchess of Cornwall, the Cambridges and Prince Harry. But now that both Philip and Harry are gone, the firm will need to be reorganized from within.
