NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal we’re somewhat new to the show. We started watching around the time Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) suffered the motorcycle accident she now believes to be recent history.
As in, she thought that’s why she’s in the hospital. So, we haven’t had any exposure to EJ DiMera, last played by Trey Baxter, according to Wikipedia. However, that looks like it’s about to change. Here’s what you need to know.

From what has been said, we know EJ was believed dead after being shot. From the sources we’ve read, it seems Clyde Weston (James Reed) was the culprit. However, that wasn’t the case. This is where we saw some of the character’s story.
It seemed Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) had saved him and was holding him in Nashville with a lot of other characters that made DOOL feel like an episode of the Walking Dead. We even joked about Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) building a Zombie army, so many characters were coming back. And it was all his doing.

After they learned he was alive, we watched as Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) struggled with the news, and the tragic consequences of the explosion that supposedly killed others around that time.
EJ had been severely injured, requiring Sami to take him to a burn facility in Italy. Since then, she’s made a couple of brief returns, and we’ve heard an update here and there on his treatment.
However, there’s been no hint of his actual return, despite a bunch of online rumors. Some even named a specific actor that would be taking the part. However, that was debunked later. That was then.

It looks like we might not know for sure who the actor will be, but it seems a sure thing that EJ is heading back to Salem.
Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera) himself confirmed the news during a podcast taping, although it wasn’t made clear who would step into the role. Just that the character was definitely returning with a new face. And we’re looking forward to seeing what they’re about to do.

So, how will they bring him back? ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal it’s been a while since the character went away to recover from his injuries. Since they went to the trouble to reveal he was one of Rolf’s revived masses, plus had him survive the explosion, it seems inevitable that the character will return. And we think this is definitely the time.
Sami recently confessed to murder. Despite her swearing she only did so to protect Allie Horton (Lindsey Arnold), her recant wasn’t accepted. There’s physical evidence, thanks to her attempts to cover up what she thought was Allie’s crime, so Sami’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
That means, this is the perfect chance for EJ to return to town to offer support. We’re hopeful he’ll be about as frustrated as others have been with Sami’s latest antics, as it’s always entertaining to watch Sami squirm. Plus, it’ll be nice to see them together, while also having another DiMera reunion.
While it’s not confirmed, by the way, are flying that Daniel Feuerriegel is the new face of the character. However, we saw what happened when reports said Daniel Goddard was taking the part. So, we’ll just have to wait and see. If the reports are true, you can expect to se EJ back sometime in the Summer. We’ll let you know if any new info comes to light.
