Kate Middleton is not the kind of person who tries to compete for attention, whether it be with another member of the royal family or someone like her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle.
As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that suggests the Duchess of Cambridge doesn’t have one competitive bone in her body and that it was actually the Duchess of Sussex who was vying for the spotlight all the time. Here’s what you need to know.
While no one will really ever know what actually happened behind closed doors between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, some royal insiders suggest that all Prince William and Kate Middleton wanted was the best for everyone. The Duchess of Cambridge also didn’t try to hog the spotlight from anyone else, either.
Kate Middleton Never Wanted To Compete With Meghan Markle, So Says Royal Insider
“Catherine is so marvelously uncompetitive considering the amount of attention she gets from everyone,” one senior palace figure told The Daily Mail recently. “She manages to raise the Queen’s spirits. The Queen sees it as quite wonderful that William married such a sensible girl whom the public seem to love for her own sake.”
And while it sucks for Prince William and Kate Middleton that they don’t have a way to share their workload with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle anymore, it’s the Duchess of Cambridge who is doing what the queen had taught her, and that’s keeping calm and carrying on – for her sake and those around her.
“It’s been devastating for William and Catherine having to go it alone,” the palace aid added. “Thank goodness Catherine at least was able to adapt to her new life without any fuss. I can’t recall her complaining about anything. No one at the Palace did any more for her than for Meghan. It’s always been the same when someone new arrives in the family – you’re here, you’ll learn, now get on with it. She did. She gives William so much confidence.”
