Kate Middleton isn’t the kind of person who will complain about her royal life to Oprah, so says one royal insider. Instead, she’s shown a great deal of maturity and has displayed all of the characteristics needed to be a successful future Queen of England Consort. At least, that’s what one royal expert believes. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal biographer Phil Dampier says that the Duchess of Cambridge is certainly “maturing” and that she realizes Queen Elizabeth will need Prince William more than ever before after the passing of her husband Prince Philip earlier this month.
In fact, everyone was impressed how Kate Middleton managed to play peacemaker between Prince William and Prince Harry at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral last week. Because just like the Queen, Kate doesn’t hold grudges or seek revenge unlike another Duchess we all know.

“At Prince Philip’s funeral Kate really came of age,” Phil told the Daily Mail. “She comforted Prince Charles with an affectionate kiss and hug, brought William and Harry together, and very much gave a quiet dignity to proceedings. She reportedly took part in a chat at Frogmore Cottage, along with Charles and William, to heal the wounds with Harry. That must have been hard after what Harry and Meghan said about her in the Oprah Winfrey interview, but Kate is maturing rapidly and wants to do what’s best for the royal family.”
Phil also said that Kate Middleton is likely to take on a bigger role within the royal family in the coming weeks and months ahead.
He said, “I expect to see her alongside the Queen on public engagements in future, as well as other members of the family. With the Queen now 95, Charles, Camilla and Anne in their seventies, a lot is resting on William and Kate. They have enjoyed long periods of family life in Norfolk, trying to give their children the most normal upbringing as possible. But now they will have to step up to the plate as a future king and queen and Kate looks ready to play her part.”
