’90 Day Fiancé’ popular couple, Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh have updated fans with some not great news. Both living in India together, the two have tested positive to Covid-19 among the deadly crisis enveloping Sumit’s homeland.
’90 Day Fiancé’: Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh Test Positive for Covid
The TLC couple thanked fans for their prayers on Instagram as they announced their health status. They also assured fans that they are doing well despite the prognosis yet fans still fear for the couple with Jenny’s age and Sumit’s diabetes putting both in a higher vulnerability category.
62 year-old Jenny has been living in India with her 33 year-old boyfriend Sumit since before the pandemic gripped the world. The second half of their love and (not yet) marriage journey, chronicled in season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way showed how the two were locked down in India and wore some strange “hotel key” looking cards that were alleged to repel the virus.
Of course, a piece of plastic on the end of a lanyard is not quite as effective as social distancing and vaccines, and, after the country opened up prematurely and an especially infectious variant of the virus ran rampant, a full blown health catastrophe has crippled the populous country.
California native, Jenny made an appearance on Discovery + spin-off, 90 Day Bares All in January 2021 to explain she is continually extending her visa in India but this could be denied at anytime, especially now, during this utterly horrific time in the country.
Fans saw Sumit change his mind about marrying Jenny on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way after his mother threatened suicide if they did. However, they pair are still together, much to Sumit’s family’s chagrin.
Hopefully this health scare will bring the family back together and Sumit’s parents will finally realize there is more at stake in this world than outward appearances and how others view a relationship they don’t understand.
