’90 Day FiancĂ©’ Spoilers finds that Yara Zaya bit off more than she could chew by coming to the United States to be with fiance, Jovi Dufren. Yes, it was her own choice, her own volition to come here, but it looks like she really hates New Orleans.
Also, Jovi’s telling her that he “didn’t know why she was acting like she was going anywhere” when she mentioned going back to the Ukraine esulted in a thousand yard stare that I’ve only seen on the faces of human trafficking victims.
’90 Day FiancĂ©’ Spoilers: Blink twice if you need help, Yara.
Jovi, it’s really not up to you if Yara stays or not, she’s still her own person and it’s clear that she’s not really sold on the idea of the US and thinks that New Orleans is not a good place to raise a family.
Thing is, Jovi really hasn’t done his job talking up the more family-friendly aspects of New Orleans or about US culture in general. Yara mentioned people being drunk all the time and people shooting each other (that is a problem), but Jovi seemed to act like that was just a normal thing and that she shouldn’t care all that much about it.
Honestly, if it were just Yara I don’t think she would care that much, or she would have shrugged it off by now. But right now, Yara is pregnant and the one thing she is concerned about more than her own comfort is the comfort and safety of her child. Yara just wants a good environment to be able to raise her child in, that’s not too much to ask.
Jovi however says that there is 10 months left on the lease to their apartment and it’s pretty obvious he does not want to move away from the party atmosphere of New Orleans. That’s literally all he could focus on, he couldn’t even tell her the cultural significance of Mardi Gras besides it was a big party that everyone had “before everybody went to church”.
When Yara realized there was religious significance to the holiday she said she didn’t know why Jovi was praying to “that god” because according to Yara “That god can’t help you, you should be normal”.
In a way, I agree with Yara because it seems like Jovi’s life revolves around when the next party is, and that’s really not the thing you want to put forth when you’re trying to raise a family. It’s not wrong for Yara to want someone who isn’t focused on partying in order to settle down and raise a family with.
If Jovi could show Yara some activities that didn’t involve partying, then maybe she would change her mind about New Orleans. We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
