‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers say that by now fans should know that the Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that they will be seeing in the upcoming weeks is not the same Sonny that they’ve known and loved for many years. Read on for all of the latest spoilers.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, General Hospital co-head writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor make it pretty clear that by the end of this month, several storylines will take on a completely different twist. In fact, Port Charles is going to be looking very, very different.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny’s New Life Explained
Teasing what’s next for Sonny, the scribes put it this way, “Sonny may not have his memory, but the characteristics that we know and love of this man have survived his becoming this new person, ‘Mike’, and there are questions and mysteries about who this man is. There will also be a health crisis that ‘Mike’ faces that is connected to Sonny’s history with mental illness.”
Now, as far as what’s in store for Sonny’s long-suffering wife Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she has no idea what the truth is, as she believes that the man she has loved for so many years is no longer with her.
In other words, she truly believes that Sonny is dead this time. But is he really? O’Connor puts it this way, “Carly and her family lay Sonny to rest — but his funeral proves to be anything but restful.”
