CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers have some fun news along with a bit of speculation. It appears that Tyler Johnson will be reprising his role as Theo Vanderway in tomorrow’s episode (2/5), and it comes a couple of days after Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) was sent off on a mystery mission.
While it’s great to have Theo back, and we’re sure he’s going to be a thorn in Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)’s side through Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), we think there’s more to it than meets the eye.

When Tyler Johnson was let go, fans on Instagram weren’t very happy about it as it appears he was their favorite over Donny Boaz, and they made no secret of that.
Many even pointed out how Tyler had sloppy writing and Donny was being forced down our throats.
To be fair, CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers liked Tyler better as well, but we also like Donny.
Both their characters were interesting, but we think the show’s runners are trying to work the budget around fan favorites to help get viewership up.
This is just our theory, but it makes sense as shows tend to gauge their storylines on fan reactions, and if fans prefer one over the other changes can be made.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Leap of faith
This could easily just be us drawing inaccurate comparisons as we don’t have all the information, but that’s what makes speculation so much fun.
There are many fans that feel Donny got the raw end of the deal, but we expect him to return before too long. But his leaving does leave an opening, so Tyler stepped right in.
It’s nothing new, through Chance’s storyline feels like a rushed one meant to explain something more we may never know the reality of.
Still, CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers have no doubt that Donny will be back as Chance before too long, and we’re curious as to how long Theo’s going to be in the picture.
It could be this once and done episode, and that would be a shame.
In the end, all we can do is wait and see what’s planned for us while making our opinions known on social media, hopefully as politely as possible.
