Joe Rogan had a big statement after the fight last night in which Dustin Poirier knocked out Conor McGregor in the second round. It was a good fight, and while McGregor seemed in control for the first round, it quickly went out the window.

In a congratulatory post on Instagram, Rogan had a bold statement about Poirier and it may be true. In his post, he said that if Khabib truly is retired, Dustin is the uncrowned champ. Take a look at his caption below and use the link to see the full post.

“A tremendous congratulations to @dustinpoirier for his spectacular victory last night. At 155 he is absolutely one of the most fierce fighters on earth, and if Khabib really is retired for my money Dustin is the uncrowned champ!”

Fans commented on the post, “That fight was great @dustinpoirier was on point as was Chandler”, “Conner needs to fight his urge to fight again next”, “Damn Khabib liked this post quick.”, “we need poirier vs oliveria”, “He has beaten everyone and still isn’t the champ.”, and “love how connor always is respectful and takes his losses like a champ”.

Conor did show a lot of respect after his loss and a great sense of humility. Even before the fight he was playful and having fun with Poirier at the weigh-in. It looks like a turning point in McGregor’s career and a great humbling has happened.

After the fight, McGregor said he needed ‘activity’ and would be back in 2021 for more fights. It looks like we’ll be seeing more Conor this year already and there are even rumblings of a third match between him and Poirier. Who do you think would win the tie-breaker and do you agree with Rogans’ comments that Poirier us the uncrowned champ?
