‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that we’re starting a new week off with an emotional episode, and the show is handing out tissues for this one.
While there’s a legitimate argument that Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams)’s passing was a perfect moment that lacked any realism, it was still a touching sendoff for the character and actress.
In typical Y&R fashion, it was over the top and the writing was embellishment upon embellishment and it worked. And now the Abbotts will deal with the aftermath of it.
‘Young and the Restless’ think they’ll set off a few emotional landmines as they make arrangements and hold a service. We’ll be ready for plenty of recaps of some great moments.
Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) has been hoping his past remains there, but thanks to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)’s expose on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), it appears he’s out of luck.
This could potentially derail all of his plans to join the Genoa City Police Department as well as any plans with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) if things get serious enough.
Nothing like being caught in the middle of a war with the Newmans, is there?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For October 19: Saying goodbye
Dina was anything but an ideal mother, but she managed to bring the family together at the end.
She was a woman that refused to be ignored or to allow others to have control over her. In short, she’s the type of strong female character we often hear didn’t exist prior to recent years.
As we say goodbye to her and the actress after 37 years, the Abbotts will do so in their own way.
‘Young and the Restless’ expect plenty of flashbacks as each member of the Abbott family relives some of their best and worst moments.
It’s going to be a tear jerker for sure, but we think it’s going to be a great sendoff for Dina. It’s definitely going to be one to remember.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For October 19: Chance’s Past Pays a Visit
With everything going on in Genoa City, we’re going to see some collateral damage as Chance’s efforts to help Adam will come back to bite him.
More than just not being hired at GCPD for the time being, we expect him to be indicted or approached by his former superiors about the article and his part in it.
Of course, this is the obvious angle for us to by into, but what if it’s something more like another job he undertook or even an ex girlfriend that decided to look him up?
The sky’s the limit here, but we’re hoping they stick to the current storyline and the threats inherent in it.
