It sounds like the situation with Isabel Fernández de Corona (Camila Sodi) and the other prisoners of Don Mateo Corona (Eduardo Yáñez) went really bad. When the latest episode picked up, Diego Hidalgo Virrueta (Luis Ernesto Franco) was on the verge of being arrested for trying to get to Isabel.
Victoria Lamas (Dulce María) managed to talk the authorities into letting him go. She argued he’s just trying to find his wife and this wouldn’t look good if she went to the press.
Apparently, there’s a few good cops in this world. Well, at least some that want to look like the good guys. The guy agreed to let Diego go to prove they aren’t all evil. Unfortunately, we don’t think this will do Diego much good.
Telemundo Falsa Identidad Spoilers: The end
See, the next bit had a woman in the hospital. She had a message from Isabel and she wanted to get it to Diego. Plus, she had a few things that Isabel left. Of course, Diego’s unreachable because he’s busy looking for his woman.
So, a game of tag started to track him down. However, Padre Rafael (Rubén Sanz) was worried when they mentioned the hospital Diego was checking with. Apparently, that’s where people were found in an abandoned trailer. And a lot of them ended up being dead.
With no one under Isabel or Lisa Dunn in the hospital, Diego ended up having to search the morgue. This is where he found Isabel on one of the tables. We gotta give the actor credit. His reaction was heart-breakingly perfect.
One of the better jobs we’ve seen on the show, and quite a few others. His pain was clear and we are going to rant about this plot and what it means in a bit. Because this loss is huge. It’ll probably lead to Diego being lost, but he’ll likely come back more vengeful and determined to take out the bad guys as ever.
Telemundo Falsa Identidad Spoilers: More problems
Of course this all means more trouble for Don Mateo. An official already warned him there was a big mess with all the people in that trailer, not to mention the dead bodies. Having Diego identify Isabel’s body is the last thing Don Mateo needed.
She’s his former daughter-in-law, after all. Plus, there’s something else he’s probably thinking of. He knows there was a second woman who’d brought Isabel to see El Man (David Palacio). He has to know this will eventually lead any investigation his way.
Apparently, he wasn’t alone in this. One of the cops called some big-wigs about the situation, and it got way worse. It seems they’re involved in this, too. But, they want to make it look like this is Mateo’s own personal business, not theirs.

Telemundo Falsa Identidad Spoilers: More questions
Meanwhile, Amanda Corona Fernández (Barbie Casillas) just keeps asking questions. She heard shots before and there was the whole thing with that guy throwing rocks at her window.
Amanda wants to know what on earth is happening on this Ranch y ya. She asked Don Mateo a bunch of questions, but he still insists he’s a good guy and there’s a lot of people that try to hurt you in that country when you’re doing honest work.
While they were talking Amanda got a call from Claudio “El Buitre” Arismendi’s (Marco de la O) son, and had to hide the caller’s identity from abuelo. While talking, he did some spying and saw the picture of Amanda, her mother, and her brother.
He made this big show of wishing he could get Isabel to be a good mother to them, but it just hasn’t happened. Amanda suggested and expressed hope that one day mom will open her eyes and move in with them.
Later on, she talked a bit about this with Guadalupe “Lupe” Girón (Vicky Araico). Now, Lupe is too scared to say anything outright to him. However, it looks like she said enough to get Amanda looking nervous. We think her doubts are getting stronger, and that’s bad for Don Mateo. And her.
Telemundo Falsa Identidad Spoilers: Tonight
As for tonight’s episode, we’ll see El Buitre making an offer to Victoria. He wants her to bring him Diego, however Arismendi is the executioner in this family. Also, it seems Victoria and Inés will be a major hassle for Don Mateo tonight. Especially since they’re witnesses to something.
Oops. Looks like someone wasn’t as careful as he thinks he is. This should be fun to see how much he squirms. Especially after last night’s episode. This was seriously a huge shocker, and not something most series will do. Isabel, after all, was one of the protagonists.
In fact, fans are already in an uproar on social media about the death. However, it looks like this might have been an inevitable situation. According to some comments, it looks like Sodi has another show and couldn’t do both at the same time. Thus, the end of Isabel.
We seriously doubt this show can/should have a third season at this point. The series was built around her and Diego escaping their various enemies. Without one of them, this feels weird. The only way we see this going on is shifting to Diego and his pain, or focusing the show on Amanda and her future. This is going to be tough for her, and we’re sure it will lead to a lot of problems for Don Mateo later.
