No, this doesn’t have anything to do with ‘Riverdale‘! While jingle-jangle was prominent in that series, this is a brand new original film from Netflix starring Forest Whitaker and Keegan-Michael Key. Netflix is already getting us in the mood for the Christmas season with this trailer about a toymaker, played by Whitaker whose friend, played by Key steals his most celebrated invention!
If you love Christmas films and want another to add to the list of future classics, check out the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,
“A musical adventure and a visual spectacle for the ages, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey is a wholly fresh and spirited family holiday event. Set in the gloriously vibrant town of Cobbleton, the film follows legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle (Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker) whose fanciful inventions burst with whimsy and wonder. But when his trusted apprentice (Emmy winner Keegan-Michael Key) steals his most prized creation, it’s up to his equally bright and inventive granddaughter (newcomer Madalen Mills) — and a long-forgotten invention — to heal old wounds and reawaken the magic within. From the imagination of writer-director David E. Talbert, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey reminds us of the strength of family and the power of possibility. Featuring original songs by John Legend, Philip Lawrence, Davy Nathan, and “This Day” performed by Usher and Kiana Ledé. “
Netflix Already Has Us Thinking About Christmas With ‘Jingle Jangle’ Trailer
The trailer looks fun and filled with fantasy and holiday charm with a wonderful performance from Forest Whitaker (is there any other kind?) and a surprising role for Key! Viewers are looking forward to watching the film this December, “That’s a magical trailer, looks like they actually spent a tonne of money on it and that cast is amazing. I’m in.”, and “I love Christmas and Christmas movies and songs I love how everyone get together I love everything about Christmas can you tell!”.
