Joe Rogan, along with fellow comedians and fans Tom Segura, Bery Kreischer, and Ari Shaffir have done something called ‘Sober October’ in the last few years. It began with just what the same sounds like, staying sober for the month. No drinking, smoking, marijuana, etc. Though, the last few times it has transformed into that plus a workout challenge. These challenges were so intense that Kreischer even ran a marathon!
This is something that a lot of fans follow along with as well, and they’ve actually done a great job of incorporating their fans into it as a fun competition they do every year. However, Segura, Kreischer, and Shaffir came out and said they weren’t doing it this year.
Rogan on the other hand is still going to do it because he knows it means a lot to people who watch him and he doesn’t want to drop the ball. Take a look at his post below,

I know many of you were looking forward to this as an opportunity to get clean and get some positive momentum in your life, and I’m all about that. Let’s fucking do this! Plus, I have a feeling with the upcoming election in November we’re gonna need clear heads and rested livers. #soberoctober“

Joe Rogan Refuses To Bi#@h Out For Sober October – “Positive Momentum”
A lot of celebrities commented on his post, including Bob Saget, “Joe, damn you’re a good motivator! I’m in! Does that include sniffing glue though?”. Tom Green, “Ok I am in! Sober October! Thanks Joe!”. And Lex Fridman, “David Goggins is in and will probably double it, whatever it is.”.
It’s pretty awesome to see Rogan appreciate his viewers like this knowing a lot of them look forward to it every year.
