TikTok star Charli D’Amelio is being slammed in every direction possible for not taking Covid-19 and social media guidelines seriously. That’s because according to her fans, she’s still going out partying and eating at restaurants on a daily basis. Charli recently had to defend her actions in a TikTok video. Here’s what she has to say.
“I am being safe,” she began. “Before I do anything, I get a rapid test to make sure that I’m not being unsafe with what I’m doing, because I obviously do care about everyone. Outside dinners in California [are] also something that everyone is allowed to do, and if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t be going.”

“I make sure I wear my mask when I walk in,” she continued. “I eat, I don’t have my mask on, I leave, I put my mask back on, so I make sure I’m being safe. Throughout this, I’ve been getting tests at least once a week and wearing masks whenever I’m out.”
Of course, it didn’t take very long for Charli’s fans and critics to comment on her post. Quite a few of them said, “You wouldn’t be wasting tests if u didn’t leave home at all.. but ok,” along with, “That doesn’t mean she can’t spread it. She needs to be held accountable just like all of the other TikTok stars and YouTubers who are going out and partying and not taking this pandemic seriously at all.”
Another fan wrote, “This is not an excuse. It’s good to see that a lot of people are calling her out on this. She’s being irresponsible. With so many fans, you’d think that she would be better role model and would set a better example out there for people. But she hasn’t. Her fans are calling her out. There is no vaccine available yet and people like Charli are going to cause this second wave that we will all suffer from.”
