Kristin Cavallari wants her fans to know that her decision to pull the plug on her marriage to NFL star Jay Cutler wasn’t an easy one, nor was it a spontaneous one, either. The Very Cavallari reality star says that she didn’t make her decision over night and that she and Jay had tried very hard for years and years to make their marriage work. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to People Magazine in a new interview, the blonde beauty says that fans didn’t get to see the entire truth about her marriage on Very Cavallari, which aired from 2018 to 2020. Kristen says that her marriage to Jay hit a low point while filming the last season and that the couple decided not to air out their problems, as they didn’t want their kids to see it all on the show in the future.

“I still care so much about him and talk to him almost every day,” she said. “We have three kids together. He’s going to be in my life forever.”
“A year ago I felt like I was drowning,” the fashion designer confessed. “That’s not to say I don’t have really hard days, but for the past however many years, I’ve been putting everybody else first. I’m going to focus on me for a minute, look inward and figure out what I ultimately want out of life.”
Cavallari explained that she’s “proud for making this decision. It wore at me every single day for years. I feel like my whole world is opening up now because of it, and I’m just feeling the best I’ve felt in a really long time. I’m really excited about the future all around.”
