Alec Baldwin is making it clear that he is Team Ellen. That, or he simply wants the best for the daytime television talk show host, who has recently been marred with one controversy after another after it was reported that her show is under investigation for being a ‘toxic work environment.’ Here’s what you need to know.
During an interview with Ellen on her talk show on Tuesday, Alec – who is no stranger to controversy himself – told Ellen to “keep going” despite all of her current scandals.

Alec began with, “Before we talk about my kids, Ellen, I just want to say, you are someone, I’ve followed your career from when you were doing standup and you were a solo performer. I’ve watched the films you’ve done and I’ve watched your success on this TV show, and you are one of the funniest and most talented women, one of the most funny and talented people in all of show business.”
He added, “We all have some patches of white water here, but you keep going. Don’t you stop doing what you’re doing.”
Meanwhile, it seems as though Ellen might be getting the last laugh (albeit secretly) from her haters as her show seems to be on a roll, or at least in the ratings department. Many viewers tuned in to hear Ellen make her apology and for also taking responsibility for the toxic work environment that her show has created behind the scenes.
According to reports, the Ellen DeGeneres show posted an overnight Nielsen household rating of 1.9, which ranked No. 1 in a lucrative ad demo: adults aged 25 to 54, with a 0.9 rating, an increase from last year’s 0.8. If that weren’t enough, Ellen also topped all talk shows in what’s arguably the most-coveted ad demo: Female viewers ages 18 to 34, earning a 0.6, and nailing ages 18 to 49 with a 0.8. The program tied with “The View” at 1.1 for women viewers ages 25 to 54.
