Ellen DeGeneres is throwing in the towel. There are new reports that suggest that the television talk show host is looking to pull the plug on her daytime television talk show because of the countless allegations that have been made against her.
Not only has she been tripped from her title as the ‘Queen of Nice’ but her show is also under investigation by WarnerMedia after several complaints have been made by the behind-the-scenes crew. Here’s what you need to know.
Ellen DeGeneres Is Ready To Quit Her Talk Show
Ellen can’t take the heat so naturally, she’s making her way out of the kitchen. One source from behind the scenes tells the Daily Mail that the longtime host is telling executives at both Telepictures and Warner Brothers that she wants to hang up her microphone for good.
“She feels she can’t go on and the only way to recover her personal brand from this is to shut down the show,” an insider told the site this week. “The truth is she knew what was going on — it’s her show. The buck stops with her. She can blame every executive under the sun — but Ellen is ultimately the one to blame.”
Even though she’s remained relatively quiet over the allegations made that she’s one of the most two-faced television personalities in the celebrity world, Ellen did send out a memo to her staff this week, suggesting that changes will be made to the way things operate behind the scenes at the Ellen DeGeneres show.
“As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done. Clearly some didn’t,” she said. “That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again.”
With that said though, some critics believe that Ellen’s move might be too little, too late. Word has it that she’s already been labeled as a ‘canceled celebrity.’
