Ellen DeGeneres is learning very fast that it doesn’t take Hollywood very long to drag you when you are down. Ellen DeGeneres: Everybody Loves Raymond Star Brad Garrett Drags Ellen DeGeneres On Twitter
Television sent a memo to their staff last week saying that they have are currently working with an employee relations group and a third party firm who will interview both current and past employers about some of their experience while working on the set. Apparently, this doesn’t come as a surprise at all for Brad Garrett.
Tagging Ellen, the actor tweeted this week, “Sorry but it comes from the top @TheEllenShow. Know more than one who were treated horribly by her. Common knowledge.”
It’s been noted that Brad has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show six times between 2004 and 2007. Of course, it didn’t take very long for her critics to point out that Ellen treated other celebrities anything but with respect in the past, too.
Some posted on Twitter, “Mariah knew: when Ellen forced her to drink on the show, therefore admitting she was pregnant and ultimately announcing VERY PUBLICLY she had a miscarriage,” along with, “Dakota Johnson knew when she kept interrupting her mid convo.”
Another fan wrote, “I think the biggest issue w/ this apology is that she shifted the blame on to her staff. I honestly think that get ego is sooo big that is physically incapable of admitting any wrongdoing, at least not until her back is up against the wall and is cornered…”
Ellen, meanwhile, has not made any comments about the allegations in public, nor has she said anything about her future on the show, but she did send out a memo to her staff saying that changes will be made to the way things are operated behind the scenes.
She wrote, “Hey everybody – it’s Ellen. On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness – no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect.
Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show.”
