CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are so cringey in a lot of their scenes. I don’t think it’s either of their acting or even characters, but just the god awful writing and scenes they’re in together. Yesterday was particularly bad, as Nick treated Phyllis to a bath with something or other bath salts that she liked and then proceeded to play a game on their phones.
The game in question was featured around dinosaurs, because, get it? Phyllis planted fake dinosaur bones on Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) construction site. Oh, haha. So, Phyllis gets out of the bathroom and they start playing this made-up game on their phones with sound effects from a 1980’s arcade and their dialogue is just, so, so awful.

We’ve seen a lot of blah scenes from these two, but yesterday’s was particularly bad. I’m sorry if you liked it or thought it was cute, I mean, this is all subjective, but man, I could barely get through it. I honestly cannot stand these two together and every time I see them on screen together, I die a little inside. Even though Summer Newman (Hunter King) has “accepted” that they’re back together, we don’t, right? I wake up every morning hoping that something will happen and Nick will be a decent brother to his sister and Phyllis will, I don’t know, lock herself away somewhere.
