Melissa told the publication, “I didn’t get a chance to work with Michelle that much before she left the show in 2013. I think we had maybe a couple of group scenes and I was kind of bummed about that.”
However, that all changed when Michelle came back in 2019, after having spent the last several years on General Hospital. Melissa continued, “I remember the first time I got a script that I was going to be working with Michelle and I couldn’t believe it.
I was like, ‘Are you sure they want me to work with Michelle Stafford?’ I even called my mom and said, ‘Oh, my gosh, I’m working with Michelle Stafford. I’m really intimidated because she’s so great.’ I was nervous but excited at the same time.
I soon found out that the thing about Michelle, besides being that talented and that good, there’s no reason to be intimidated because she is such a cheerleader for every single person on the show. She’s just such a good person that she just wants the best for everybody. She’s a champion.”
