CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that star Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) is catching up on his summer reading. In fact, the actor is reading his fellow co-star Melody Thomas Scott’s (Nikki Newman) biography, Always Young & Restless: My Life On And Off America’s #1 Daytime Drama, and he’s so into the book that he wishes he met the actress earlier in life. Here’s what he has to say about it.
Melody’s book details her life before her fame and some of the abuse she experienced at the hands of others. The handsome actor took to his Twitter account to write to his fans, “I am reading Melody’s (Nikki’s biography) and I haven’t put it down yet. Page turner! Just wish I could have protected her then and knocked everyone on their asses!”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for Eric’s fans and social media followers to respond to his tweet. Quite a few wrote, “I’ll certainly be buying the book when I can. I both o you and all of the Y&R cast are well and I hope the new episodes being filmed are going well too,” along with, “Can’t wait to read Melody’s book. We have ordered it already and she’s autographing it. I’m so excited and we thoroughly enjoyed your book, reading it and listening to it on audiobook, too.”
