ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) has been known as a troublemaker. Since her most recent return to Port Charles, we’ve see her stir drama as well as unwittingly hand over ELQ to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). However, we think our prediction about Brook Lynn will be a major turning point. Here’s what you need to know.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The attack
So, in case you missed it, Brook Lynn was the victim of a vicious attack by Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) after learning she planned to run away with Wiley. Brook Lynn nearly died from the injury, but she managed to pull through a surgery and woke up. Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) in particular was grateful, as he’d been full of guilt due to how he treated her before the attack. He got his wish to make things right, but it looks like Brook Lynn got her own chance to make up for the damage her decision caused.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sacrifice
We mentioned before we think her singing career is at risk. The doctor who treated her confirmed that Wednesday by warning her not to speak. If she does, she could do “further” damage to her vocal chords. Notice “further”. They’re already injured. And Brook Lynn did speak Wednesday when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) came to see her. We love this development for a couple of reasons.
One, we think this shows a new maturity brought on by her near-death experience. She realized she had no choice by to speak if they were going to know Wiley’s whereabouts. Especially since people kept getting in the way when she tried to communicate more information beyond what you can do with a nod or a shake of the head. She knew the risk she took doing so, and she did it anyway. But there’s more.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: United again?
This also shows that she feels her own guilt about what happened and wanted to make up for it. The Quartermaine family will surely appreciate the huge sacrifice she made. It’s a redemption moment for her and we’re curious to see where it goes next. If her voice ends up being too damaged to sing again—at least for a while—this opens the door for her to come back to ELQ and try some new things. No matter where it goes, we’re enjoying this so far and think there’s a lot of potential with this arc.
