NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that if you’re like many of us then you’re probably wondering when the show is going to start back up in production considering there has been no set date as of yet. Well, never fear, the watchful eyes of DSD are here and we have your start date for you. Accordion to ‘Days of Our Lives’, production should start back up in September 1st, of this year. So mark your calendars, folks! As we all know, all daytime soaps have pretty much been out of commission since Quarantine started. They shut down when everything else TV-related did in March and only recently did The Bold and the Beautiful announce that they would be filming starting next week.

Well, now ‘Days of Our Lives’ has joined in and said that they would be filming again starting September 1st. However, since the shut down one of their producers, Greg Meng, has been let go from NBC so we’ll see how this affects production in the future. It looks like the other soaps are actually starting a couple of months in advance from DOOL, B&B has technically already started, Y&R is looking at a July 13th return to production, and General Hospital is in talks for sometime in mid-July, but have not set an exact date yet. The other three soaps have already run out of episodes and they have been rerunning their content by theme weeks.

‘Days of Our Lives’ however was ahead of production when they stopped filming and have enough original episodes to last until early October, which is good news for us because it means we can continue to enjoy what the residents of Salem are up to until the rest of our soaps come back.

Although you have to wonder, who had the forethought to be ahead of production because no one could have predicted a pandemic, so let’s just give a royal hand to the genius who thought of that. Although at this point by the time they go back to work it’ll be almost time to break for Christmas! Will productions even do breaks for the holidays this year? Hm, interesting question to ask. Inquiring minds want to know. Stay tuned!
