HBO has a new docu-series coming soon called ‘The Vow’, that will take an in-depth look at the NXIVM Organization, an otherwise known cult who’s leaders have been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. So, why does this sound familiar? Actress Allison Mack from ‘Smallville’ was notably involved with this and herself plead guilty to one count of racketeering conspiracy and one count of racketeering.
You can watch the official teaser that HBO uploaded today along with the following description that explains a little bit more of what NXIVM actually was about,
“The Vow examines the self-improvement group NXIVM, whose leaders have been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The docuseries takes a deep, nuanced look at the experiences of its members, spotlighting their universal desire for personal growth. Amidst claims by NXIVM participants of both profound transformation and devastating abuse, the series seeks to reveal the issues behind the headlines and explore the emotional toll of unfolding events on these individuals.”
