ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers finds that star Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) opens up about missing her fictional life and character in Port Charles. It’s been several months since she and the rest of the GH cast and crew have been on set because of the coronavirus pandemic. Here’s what she has to say!

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Nancy pointed out that she hasn’t had this kind of break from ‘General Hospital’ ever since she was on her maternity leave back in 1998. She even admits that it has been strange to have this kind of prolonged break from the series, seeing how the daytime television world is one of the fastest and high-performance ones in the entertainment industry. There isn’t a week that doesn’t go by that soap stars aren’t memorizing thousands of lines and working on several different episodes at once.

Nancy told the publication, “Well, all of this is strange, to say the least. And my maternity leave was only three weeks, one week bed rest before birth and only two after. So this has been the longest time off of my day job while on daytime. The last two years of ‘General Hospital’ were not my most engaged there, story-wise, so not being there often wasn’t hard to get used to, but not being there at all was an adjustment. I got a taste of what retirement might look like, and I didn’t like the look at all. So I’m not ever going to retire. So there’s that revelation now.”

Nancy also added that there is a lot that she misses about going to the set of the hit ABC soap each and every day. She said that she misses, “A Focused, existing, professional purpose where I show up and do what I know how to do and what I do well. I didn’t have to create or invent a purpose. That’s a big different.”
