CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For June 23: Home is where the heart is
We often hear it’s good to have a home away from home, and this is a perfect explanation for Victor’s reasoning for going back there every so often. To help sweep the slate clean, Victor Newman bought Adam some boxing gloves and taught him how to use them. While helping Adam with the gloves, he and Adam had a brief discussion where Victor told him to call him by his name. It’s one of those moments we don’t get to see very often, yet have become acquainted with as Victor has taught all of his children boxing at one age or another. He prides the skills one needs with being used in life, and more times than not he’s right. While this was Adam’s introduction, it’s safe to say there were plenty of these lessons between the two over the years.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For June 23: Hope’s joy
Hope expressed her joy at having Victor there so he and Adam could build their relationship. Given their previous relationship, this obviously meant the world to her, especially after Victor promised Adam would always have a father. It seemed like such a small gesture, but in many cases it does mean more than anyone suspects. It’s good for children to have someone else they can bond with, but also for the parent. There’s a certain feeling that comes from having a happy family together that we often appreciate more as we grow older. Another thing that’s cool about this scene is it appears to have taken place shortly after Adam killed his father, as we found out right before they switched to theme weeks.
This will add so much more weight to that storyline when they come back, and just points to the need for another way, whether channel of streaming service, where we can watch the older shows and episodes. Not only will it help to draw fans in, but give old and new fans a chance to peer into yesteryear and see what our shows were up to.
