NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is back in town and we are thrilled. We’ve loved Haiduk’s portrayal of this character, who became so complex since just before the time jump. Let’s take a look at what we know, and why she should be here to stay.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Background

So, for anyone new who needs to catch up, Kristen has been in hiding since she recovered the baby Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) made her think was dead. It was something with great intent on Victor’s part, but ultimately destructive to so many lives. It showed a blind spot in the character, and marked a horribly cruel twist of the soap gods. The poor woman lost it after learning her baby was actually alive and stabbed Victor for his actions. This led to her having to stay gone once she tracked down her child. It also cost her the love of her life, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Comeback

The thing is, you can’t keep her down long. While we didn’t get to see the episode itself yet (news interruptions), we’ve heard enough to know that Kristen has been the one watching Lani Price (Sal Stowers).  She revealed herself in the Friday episode. This seems like a reckless move, but we’ve seen enough of Kristen to know she’s always got a plan. As impulsive as she can be about things, she’s a survivor. And we think she’s having a repeat of her last exile from Salem.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Why Return?

It seems a very risky move to come back to a place where she’s wanted for attempted murder. However, we think Kristen might have had enough. It must be tough raising a child alone in another country, knowing that you’re a wanted woman. There are a couple of possibilities we see.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: First

Our first thought was her last departure. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate Kristen, after a year as a nun, realized she needed to get her old life back with Brady. She could, in theory, have come back to talk him into going away with her and Rachel. Her almost primal need to be with Brady has driven her to do drastic things before. And we think this would be far less out there than her last plot involving that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) mask.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Two

Another possibility isn’t a good one, in our minds. Rachel did have some health problems. And there’s always the chance she could have relapsed, which could have made Kristen seek Brady out. We really hope that’s not the case.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Three

Then, there’s the third option that comes to mind. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate she’d been a bit reluctant to take off by herself and live with her child on the run. We wonder if she’s decided Rachel would be better off in a home with a parent who isn’t on the run. We personally hope that’s not the case, either, and that Brady and Kristen find a way to get her off the hook. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
