CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that this Romance Week has been a fun one for the show and this episode fits in perfectly as it features one of our favorite couples: Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Out of all the couples, these two not only have great chemistry, but their interactions can be downright comical. We never know what’s going to happen or be said when they’re together, and that kind of unpredictability is awesome.
Of course, because of that they’ll never be a power couple as they’re more like an attraction — the more we see them, the less impact they have. That doesn’t take away from their performances together, and only makes them more special. With that being said, let’s take a look at when Chloe professed her love for Kevin. Coming to us from December 30, 2010, let’s ring in 2011’s New Year in style.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For June 11: Conflict makes the heart grow fonder
Chloe’s hidden her feelings about Kevin for a while, and when she approached him about going to Jimmy’s for their New Year’s party he was surprised she wanted to be with him. In response, she told him they were friends and that she enjoyed spending time with him.
Since this is where men tend to get confused as to what’s going on, it’s no surprise he declined her invitation. The fact he felt he was her sidekick didn’t help. And as luck would have it, the miscommunication escalated as a brief flurry of hurt replies from Chloe led to her leaving him standing behind the bar more confused than before. Ah, the joys of courtship. CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers think it’s a wonderful thing to watch and feel better if we managed to avoid those incidental landmines.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For June 11: The truth comes out
As is often the case in these stories, Chloe and Kevin share their frustrations with each other with friends, family members, or even dates. At some point, someone around them realizes they’re in love and give them a gentle nudge in that direction. And if a gentle nudge doesn’t work, it’s a full on body shove. Through a series of events, the pair met up on the street. Chloe was still in her pajamas when the epiphany hit her. The cool part is she didn’t care since she needed to find and speak to Kevin before midnight.
She referred to him as her ducky, and this bothered Kevin as he’d recently told her he didn’t want to be her sidekick. To drive her point home, she told him that her ducky belonged to her, and not as a sidekick. She further explained that he was everything she was looking for in a man and best friend. A brief, touching exchange followed, ending with them professing they loved each other as more than friends.
These types of scenes are often the cheesiest, most over dramatic ones around, and it makes them the most fun and memorable ones. What’s your favorite scene so far this week?
