Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the multi-talented actress puts it this way, “She was throwing him a lifeline, for sure, and she also wanted to stay in close communication with him. She really does believe in him and she’s hoping he will just snap out of his craziness if he has the right job with the right power and feels a sense of himself. She always thinks she can fix him and she will never give up trying.”

With that said, Jill is also the kind of person who will give her son the tough love that he needs. And yes, that is exactly what Billy Abbott needs in his life right now, considering everything that he has gone through this past year. Jess added, “Jill does have that soft side. She loves Billy fiercely but she’s also quick to anger and to control. She can be brutally honest with him but it’s all out of love.”
With everything going on in his life right now, there’s also a good chance that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) might end up being Jill’s daughter-in-law, seeing how she and Billy have been getting along well lately. However, if there’s anything that we’ve learned about Billy Abbott so far, it’s that he has a very hard time putting aside his personal needs for his professional ones.
