ITV ‘Coronation Street’ spoilers finds that David Platt has been through an awful lot over the past 12 months, but his struggles only look like continuing following this week’s dramatic episodes. Viewers were left on the edge of their seats on Monday evening, as they were left in limbo waiting to see whether David could escape a gang of muggers.
Due to the coronavirus and the change in schedule, fans were left in two days in limbo. The final scenes on Monday saw a gang member take a knife out on David. However, Wednesday’s instalment calmed fans nerves as he was able to escape the gang.

David ran away from knife-wielding thugs back into Weatherfield, but he was able to escape just as the cornered him again. Fans were then shocked at the sinister smile on David’s face as he looked down on the gang from high above the street.
Viewers are already beginning to question whether this will just be the first of many dangerous upcoming scenes involving David. He recently told Nick that he struggles to feel things anymore, and him fearing danger could turn into a drug that he continues to crave.

David has been off the rails for a few months now after Shona forgot who he was. She was shot during the festive episodes before she then lost her short-term memory. David is conflicted as he doesn’t know whether to wait and hope that Shona regains her memory, or whether he should move on with his life.
He got into trouble last week for teasing Seb about Alina, and there could be darker scenes to come. David obviously has his family to look out for him, but can any of them save him from himself? Viewers will have to continue watching to see how the story develops.
