Coronation Street Spoilers reveal it has been a torrid few months for David Platt, as he has been forced to travel back and forth to Leeds to see Shona. She remains in a critical condition after being shot by Derek Milligan on Christmas Day, and things could be about to go from bad to worse for David.
She had been moved up to Leeds in January after her memory continued to deteriorate. Shona didn’t know who David was and demand that nurses threw him out of the hospital. He continued to test his luck, however, as he refuses to let go of their marriage. However, a new revelation could see him make a huge mistake over the coming weeks.

David will be stunned over the coming weeks when he pays a visit to see Shona’s son Clayton. The son will love rubbing David’s nose in the misery, and admit that his mother wants a divorce. David will be stunned that she has been visiting Clayton in prison and the request for a divorce will set David back further.
He will make one final attempt to make amends by sending Nick to see Shona, however, she refuses to see him. Later, David admits to Maria that Shona may have done him a favour in the long-term as he can now begin to move on with his life.

It isn’t long before David gets back on the horse, after he notices Alina looking upset in the garden. He sits with her and offers her a drink before they talk about their problems together. David covers for Alina telling Nick that she is ill so that he can spend time with her, but is he about to make a massive mistake?
Later in the week, Seb and David get into a scrap in the Rovers after Seb learns of David and Alina’s afternoon together. Nick eventually steps in as he admits that he should turn his back on his wife just yet. Could there still be light at the end of the tunnel for Shona and David?
