ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers find that star Ingo Rademacher sure has a lot to say about the current global pandemic that is the coronavirus (Covid-19). In fact, the handsome actor, who is best known for his role as Jasper Jacks on the hit ABC soap, has a few things to say to his ‘haters’ and all of the supposed ‘Covidiots,’ a term that the media has coined, on his Instagram account. Here’s what he has to say.
Ingo shared a photo with the test, “No one thinks Chinese Americans are to blame for the Chinese Coronavirus. If you don’t have the intellectual capacity to understand we are referring to a country and not an ethnicity, I can’t help you. You’re just an idiot.” The actor then followed up with his own words in the cation that read, “And FYI before the haters come out, this is from my father-in-law‘s brother who’s a proud Chinese American and Amen for that. #Germanmeasles #Spanishinfluenza#Chinesecoronavirus shall I go on. #Medicalterminology.”
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ingo Rademacher Calls Out His Haters On Social Media Over ‘Chinese Coronavirus’ Remarks
Of course, it didn’t take very long for his fans to respond. Quite a few of them left comments such as, “Spanish influenza is a poor example to make your case. The only reason it is called “Spanish Influenza” is because at the time the Allies wanted to keep its existence quiet so that morale for the war wouldnt go down. Further research into its origin has it originating here in the US possibly Kansas I believe. At the time the Spanish press was the first to report on it. Its origin has nothing to do with Spain,” along with, “BTW, I work in the medical field and that’s NOT a Medical Terminology. There a isn’t a a ICD-10 code named Chinese Coronavirus. It’s called COVID-19.”
Another fan put it this way, “I believe it’s all about context and motivation. A group of friends joking to each other about their races is much different from a president that was losing a trade war and his nation is slowly losing the world super power #1 status and he insisted on calling it the Chinese virus to drum up some animosity to support further action against the Chinese. Don’t know why I have to explain this. Oldest play in the book.”
