ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) is in need of some therapy. Like, now. Last week, we watched as she had a couple of meltdowns over her friends’ weddings. Unfortunately, Poor TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) got caught up in the mess. Let’s take a look at where things went wrong.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The anti-bridezilla
So, one of Molly’s freak outs was her friend becoming what she felt was a bridezilla. We respectfully submit Molly is the opposite. See, it’s good to be against over-commercialization of big events like that, as well as having a realistic vision. You know, that a marriage is way more than one party. And that it’s ridiculous to be overly obsessive with the details, and build it up into some grand event in your own mind. But Molly takes it to an extreme.
She’s so anti all this, she sounds almost unbalanced. Through the episodes, she was going on about dowrys and the diamond industry. The rant was so harsh, we actually wonder who these friends of hers are. And why the heck are they inviting her to their weddings? She doesn’t seem like she’d be much of a fun guest. And who wants someone there who’s totally opposed to the whole tradition?
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Too many bridesmaid gowns
She really got set off by being included in another wedding. Again, we must ask who these friends are. And why on earth are they making her part of the wedding party? She sounds like she’d be bad enough as a guest, so why would they want her in all the wedding photos, and part of the rehearsal dinner, and all the other big moments? We can’t imagine Molly is putting a huge smile on her face through it all, and we’re sure this has to have come up at some point with her friends. After all, sometimes we ladies talk about things with friends that we wouldn’t talk about with a guy. But there’s one thing she maybe should have discussed with poor TJ.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Get over yourself
Now, don’t get us wrong. We’re not saying that Molly’s obligated to marry TJ just because he asked. Nor is she obligated to take part in any of these other weddings. She could have easily made an excuse if they bother her so much. But she really should have made it clear she had no desire to get married period a long time ago. Eight years is a long time for a couple to be together, and if they’re as in love as they say, she should’ve been fully honest because a lot of the time, that’s where a relationship of that length heads. But we’re not sure she’s even being honest with herself.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) pointed out that her previous failures in marriage should not make Molly say no to one of her own forever. Honestly, the conversation makes us think Molly could benefit from a talk with Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) or Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). Girl clearly has issues with the past drama, and she’s letting it impact her future. Whether she gets married or not, she has to really deal with the source of her neurotic behavior and really decide if that’s actually what she wants, or just what she told herself she wants based on her fear. And if she really doesn’t want marriage, she needs to accept that TJ does, and maybe they’re not made for each other after all.
