Univision Rubí spoilers indicate sometimes a betrayal can be a blessing—even if one can’t see it. On the Monday, February 3rd episode, we see Rubí Pérez Ochoa’s (Camila Sodi) old friend, Maribel de la Fuente (Kimberly Dos Ramos) turn catty. It’s what Rubí deserves, but sometimes you need to see the big picture. Here’s what you need to know.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Rocky reception

Rubí’s return to Mexico hasn’t been easy so far. First, she faced a chilly and near silent reception from Maribel when they first see each other. Then, she gets a slightly nicer brush off from Alejandro Cárdenas (José Ron), her former love. She also fought with her sister, Cristina Pérez Ochoa (Tania Lizardo), over their individual choices. But the big problem for her was her mother, Refugio Ochoa de Pérez (Mayrín Villanueva).

As soon as Rubí entered her hospital room, Refugio had one request of her daughter. She lectured Rubí about her actions and how they hurt people, like her friend. Refugio begged Rubí to do the right thing and apologize for her behavior. That turned out to be a humiliation Rubí deserved.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Meow

First, Rubí was nearly turned away by Maribel’s mother. And that was after yet another lecture and a couple of insults. Maribel’s willing to talk, but Rubi spoilers reveal she had a motive. As they sit down outside, Maribel showed some epic passive aggression, pointing out all the areas in the yard where wedding stuff was set up. And the spot where Maribel destroyed her wedding dress after learning of the betrayal. She made it very clear she sees Rubí as trash, but Rubí still has a little pride. She got on her own high horse and said she did Maribel a favor. She wasn’t wrong.

Univision Rubí Spoilers: Saved by the gold digger

Maribel really did dodge a bullet. While Rubi claiming Maribel wouldn’t want to be with a man who’d cheat is kind trashy, but also true. Besides that, she saved Maribel from something else. In the Monday episode, we saw Héctor Ferrer Garza (Rodrigo Guirao) get increasingly weird. He even shot at a bed in his home after remembering him and Rubí in it. Rubí spoilers indicate he’s furious she took off on him, and he’s determined she’ll pay. This is not something that Maribel needed in her life, so sometimes the Telenovela Gods know what they’re doing.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Looking ahead

We don’t see Maribel and Rubí making nice any time soon. In fact, we’re getting a vibe off Maribel that she’ll become a major antagonist for her former friend. Rubi might want to consider finding a guy who’s got property far away from Mexico. She’s not likely to live down her bad rep, nor is Maribel going to let this go.
