Univision Rubí spoilers indicate this show is full of crazy. But what else would you expect from a Telenovela? The Monday, January 27th episode showed two moments we feel are a total classic. It’s also delving more into Rubí Pérez Ochoa’s (Camila Sodi) motivations for her behavior and the impact it’s having on her family. So, what happened? Here’s what you need to know.

Univision Rubí spoilers: Fateful choices and champagne.

Last week, we saw Rubi make a move on her best friend’s man, Héctor Ferrer (Rodrigo Guirao). She took things a step further, as we Rubí and Héctor take a trip. On his wedding day to Maribel de la Fuente (Kimberly Dos Ramos). Yes, you read that right. She’s so desperate for the good life, she left her own guy, Alejandro Cárdenas (José Ron), for someone with a better money outlook. But Rubí doesn’t seem to have shame.

In a classic scene that shows what a super witch she is, Héctor is having second thoughts about this impulsive move. He feels terrible for what he’s done, but Rubí’s more upset he’s ruining her enjoyment a nice glass of champagne. Her dismissiveness of the situation is totally in line with what we hear about the character from the original version. But something even crazier was ahead.

    Univision Rubí spoilers: Trash it

The big loser her was poor Marbiel. She started off the episode worried about her man, who had yet to show up for the ceremony. When she finds out Héctor’s on his way to Spain with her bestie, she loses it. She takes off her prosthetic leg and uses it to destroy a table and other things set up for the big day. It was a crazy scene that had big impact. You seriously need to see this episode online to get the full impact of both. But there’s a downside for Rubí she didn’t see coming.

    Univision Rubí spoilers: Consequences

Rubi’s mom, Refugio Ochoa de Pérez (Mayrín Villanueva), isn’t a fan of what her daughter did. Rubí spoilers reveal some friction between them. She’s mad Rubí just took off the way she did. When she learns Rubí is planning to marry the man who once belonged to her friend, it leads to more anger between them. As is typical in a novela, her mom’s a noble sort. She doesn’t want ill-gotten money. But Rubí just wants a better situation for her family. Especially later, when she learns her mom is sick. It’s a humanizing moment that makes us feel for this cold character. As she is basically a recluse in the future scenes, we really don’t see a good ending to her family story.
