Univision Rubí spoilers reveal some mixed feelings. This series travels back and forth 19 years, as we see the events of Rubí Pérez Ochoa’s (Camila Sodi) life play out during a future interview. However, Rubí has no idea who she’s actually telling her story to. It seems her past actions made a big impact. Here’s what you need to know.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Fateful decision

Back in the past, Rubí is determined to keep her niece out of the poor life. This means she wanted Cayetano (Antonio Fortier) out of Fernanda Pérez Ochoa and Cristina Pérez Ochoa’s (Valery Saís/ Tania Lizardo) lives. She chose to do this by helping a bunch of thugs rob Maribel de La Fuente’s (Kimberly Dos Ramos) home, first off. After, they were supposed to plant some of the stolen goods in Cayetano’s car and she planned to play the concerned friend who tips off the police. Luckily for her, she conned her way out of Héctor Ferrer Garza’s (Rodrigo Guirao) grasp to do so. But, there was something she didn’t count on.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Childhood trauma

Fernanda really loved Cayetano. The poor kid could never understand why her beloved aunt hated him so. Or, why her family fought over this all the time. Not to mention how often Rubí would stress the horror of poverty in front of her. This was already enough for a little kid to deal with. But, she would be dealt a harsh blow.

Fernandita, as she likes to be called, had a traumatic moment because of Rubí. She was forced to watch as Cayetano was arrested and hauled off for the alleged crime. The chaos of the moment was surely terrifying for this kid. It also likely informed a lot of what’s gone on in the future.

    Univision Rubí Spoilers: Consequences

As a result of that arrest, we’ve seen the love/hate relationship Fernanda, now calling herself Carla Rangel (Ela Velden) feels toward Rubí. There are scenes where she clearly seems to admire her. In others, it’s obvious she can’t believe the terrible things her aunt did in her younger days. In the Monday, February 10th episode, she exploded. After hearing Rubí detail what she’d done to Cayetano, Carla called her out and had a bit of an argument with Rubí. It’s obvious that Cayetano basically disappeared from their lives for good, and Carla never got over that. It’s also obvious this pair will explode soon.

For one, it seems to get harder and harder for Carla to keep up the strangers pretense. Secondly, Rubí did note something familiar in Carla. We’re waiting for the shock Rubí will get when the truth is revealed. The only question is… will the series follow the original in having Carla and Rubí work together, or will Carla take revenge on the woman who messed up her family? We’ll have to wait and see.
