We all know Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) is an evil genius. Everyone in Salem calls him a quack, but let’s be real. This guy has brought so many people back from the brink of death, we wondered if he was building a zombie army. Plus, he managed to make Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) dream of motherhood a possibility when she never should’ve gotten pregnant in the first place. Besides that, he’s also resurrected Stefano DiMera (Stephen Nichols) and Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) in other bodies. There’s not much beyond his abilities. So, what is he’s taken the next step?
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: He’s back, but how?
So, that brings us to Stefan and his upcoming return. This is what we think might happen. Shortly after Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) declared Stefan brain dead, we saw Dr. Rolf stop by his room. Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) begged him to save Stefan like he had others. However, he informed her this case was different. The others had a spark of life left. Stefan didn’t. But what if he had another plan?

The obvious answer for his return is a long-lost twin. It’s not like soaps don’t have a history of this. However, we think this might go in a more Rolf-like direction.
We think Rolf got a sample from Stefan. And we believe he’ll use that to clone Stefan. Let’s face it, it wouldn’t be the strangest thing he’s done. And since Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate a teaser has his name in quotes, we think that’s a hint that this isn’t the real Stefan coming back. That would be a major shocker for Salem, if true.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: The fallout
Let’s take a moment to imagine how Gabi would react to seeing her dead husband back. It would be epic, but what would be the motive? We think part of the reason would be to use him as a weapon against Gabi. Seeing him again would not have her in the best emotional state. It’s a perfect way to make their move, and seems like a great backup plan. It’s not like Stefano and the rest have had luck using other methods. We think this clone would be last resort move.
