‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that fans have quite a lot of things to say about Stephen Nichols being the new ‘Stefano DiMera’ on Days of Our Lives. While they certainly love seeing him as his character Patch, they’ve had a rather mixed reaction about seeing him play a new version of the DiMera patriarch. Here’s what ‘Days of Our Lives’ fans have to say online!
A lot of comments included the following: “It is a bit early to see how this new character will evolve but I would have preferred a complete recast of Stephano. I know Joseph Mascolo is almost irreplaceable, but the writers are changing all the other characters with the stupid time jump that they could have made a better story line and found another actor with some of Stephano’s qualities,” along with, “They should leave Stefano dead nobody could play him. Why not bring in a long lost grandson looking for revenge or something that way the name still stays alive but with a little dignity.”

Another fan said, “As long as it’s only temporary like Gina, I guess I’m fine with Patch being Stefano for the time being. When all is said & done, we all know that Kayla and Steve will end up together anyway. So the only mystery here is just how far Ron goes with it. It’s so like ‘Days’ to have the Phoenix rise one last time. But “Hope”-fully (pardon the pun), RC will give Stefano a fitting end.”

Clearly, many longtime ‘Days of Our Lives’ fans are not a fan of this current storyline at all. But with that said, a lot of fans know that what comes up most come down. Eventually the real Stephan and Hope will come back, and when they do everyone will be able to breathe a sigh of relief again.
