According to CBS Soaps in Depth, while on his mission to search for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) in Italy, Eli will discover that his runaway bride is now committed to someone else: God! Eli will be shocked when he sees her preparing to take her vows as a nun.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Eli Finds His Runaway Bride
Actor Lamon Archey, who plays Eli on the hit NBC soap, puts it this way to the publication, “There’s a lot of disbelief and confusion. It’s like, ‘Who is this woman?’” Seeing Lani brings up a lot of emotions and bottled-up feelings. He’s definitely not in a happy place regarding her. There’s a lot of anger there.”

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate that Eli will tell Lani that he’s not only working with Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), but that he is also sleeping with her too, which will come as a shock to the system for Lani. Eli further explains, “I think he does that to see if he gets a rise out of her, to see if she cares or if it bothers her.”
Lani is clearly hurt by this revelation which believe it or not, kind of makes Eli happy. Clearly, they both still having feelings for one another but seeing how they are in totally different places in their lives, it will be hard to pick up the pieces and start over again. Lani is in denial while Eli is hurt. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
