Days of Our Lives spoilers relate that all hell he broken loose now that the truth’s known. Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) angry, and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) isn’t doing much better. But is Eric about to make a big (petty) mistake? Here’s what you need to know.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Justifiable anger
Despite what we’re about to say in this article, we do totally understand Eric being angry. While Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) had the best of intentions, it was a bad idea to keep Eric completely in the dark about Mickey. Especially with them living in the same town. Soap history shows secrets never stay secret long, so it’s usually best to get things out in the open.
The other issue is, her actions were based on assumption. Namely, that Eric is the father. The situation she’ll find herself in could have been avoided if she’d not only been honest about her suspicions, but backed them up for real. As in, an actual DNA test. That could have possibly proved Eric isn’t the father right off. But instead, she chose to use a fake test to say Mickey is Xander’s. When Eric goes off on her for what she did and demands to see his daughter, he had every right to do so. Still, there’s a problem here.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Hot head
Eric is fuming right now. Not a good time to be making any kind of decisions. We’re sure that after learning about Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) betrayal—he left her in the December 3rd episode—he’s not thinking clearly. He’s reeling not only from Nicole’s betrayal and the lack of faith he said it showed, but Sarah’s lies as well. Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal he came back looking to talk custody, as well as an ultimatum. This is where we think he’s about to mess up.

Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Eric’s got a condition for sharing custody with Sarah. Specifically, he’s going to demand she shut Xander out. We as viewers know that Xander is hiding some dark secret, although we don’t know what. We still wonder if Ciara’s actually wrong about Xander being the killer, even though it’s starting to look more likely. On Tuesday, he and Victor Kiriakis refer to an innocent man in jail for something. But Salem (with a couple exceptions) doesn’t know this. As far as anyone knows, Xander’s been keeping his nose clean, running Titan well, and being a model daddy to Mickey. Asking to cut him out would be unfair for a couple of reasons.
One, Sarah has the right to choose who she is with. She and Xander have been getting closer, so expecting her to keep her own daughter out of things if a real relationship blooms isn’t right, in our opinion. Secondly, Mickey has bonded with him. While she won’t have any conscious memory of him if Xander disappears from her life, the sudden change could have a subconscious effect on her at some point. Sarah even had concerns the kidnapping could be implanted in Mickey’s young psyche. Having a familiar face Mickey has bonded closely with suddenly leave seems like it would be far more traumatic. While Eric, again, has every right to be mad, he might want to take time to get a cool head before making any big decisions.
