In the November 20th episode, Abigail Devearux (Kate Mansi) visits Eve in jail. She’s not happy about it. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate a very cold relationship between the two. Abbi thinks that Eve tried to kill her mother, after all. Even better, she did it right after Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer tied the knot again on November 8th. Given the video evidence, she thinks Eve is wasting her time trying to convince Abbi she is innocent.

During the visit, Eve reminds Abbi of how she herself was once the victim of a frame job. Twice. She thinks that should be enough to cast doubt on the situation. Still, Abbi isn’t buying into this. With no other choice, Eve plays a very smart card. She swears on her daughter’s grave she didn’t do it, then points out that if there is even a chance that is true, Abbi has to investigate. Her mother’s life could still be in danger. But what can Abbi do?

It seems moving back to Salem wasn’t the only change for Abbi. In her mother’s and Will Horton’s (Chandler Massey) absence, as well as Adrienne Johnson’s (Judi Evans), there was a shakeup at the paper. Jack is back at the helm, and Abbi is one of his star reporters. Eve is sure her investigative journalist skills will ultimately vindicate her. There’s one small problem that could get in the way.

There was another vacancy in the Salem job market during the lost year. Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) decided to quit his job as commissioner. With Abe Carver (James Reynolds) in the mayor’s office, can we guess who is now in the job? That’s right: “Hope Brady” (Alfonso). We love Abe, but his instincts on help aren’t great. Going back to the questionably-competent Hope has now left Princess Gina in charge of Salem law enforcement. We’re guessing she’s going to throw a lot of obstacles in Abbi’s way.
