‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the 2019 Halloween episode was quite the ride. Last year’s episode showed Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) learning that life as Marlena Evans was no picnic. This year, the writers outdid themselves with a nightmare scenario. Here’s what you need to know.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: First hint
The first indication things were going to be crazy came almost right away. While Marlena Evans and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) enjoyed a movie, someone came knocking. The captioning revealed immediate that their guest was none other than Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). They, of course, assumed that it was Tony DiMera, even though he showed up with the infamous Salem Slasher mask.

Poor John ended up being the first to fall in this blood-filled episode. Andre has used a mind control device to turn Marlena back into the killer that terrorized the town for a while. She, however, isn’t one to be controlled for long.
Marlena later drops by Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) and ended up taking out Will Horton (Chandler Massey), who was watching Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal). She also took out Andre, who had shown up at the house, too. Ciara managed to escape, and found herself coming face-to-face with Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan), who had a bone to pick after being broken out of Bayview. We’ll get to that in a sec. Others who fell this episode included Ciara, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and Victor and Maggie Kiriakis (John Aniston and Suzanne Rogers).
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Who did it better?
All this blood leads to an argument. Claire, Jordan Ridgeway, and Marlena all come across each other. Marlena is pleased to learn of Claire’s kills, and the three of them work together to bury their many victims. Well, after they all fight over who had the most kills. For the record, it was more of a tie. Poor Ben comes across them and is devastated to see Ciara dead, so he ends up killing Jordan and is welcomes into their killer group. That’s when Ben wakes up at home, revealing this was all a nightmare.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Outdoing themselves
The writers took the humor up a notch this year, starting with the movie night for John and Marlena. She made a joke about how unrealistic the movie they were watching was. It turned out to be about a woman possessed by the devil, a nice nod to the infamous plot line as well as last year’s episode.
We also loved Maggie Kiriakis in this one. She was awesome after catching Victor telling Ben he was going to have his sister eliminated. Pretending to disapprove, Maggie sends Ben away before telling Victor he should definitely take her out. Of course, her motivation is how her lemon squares were once insulted. Claire makes a surprise return in this middle of this by claiming she lives for those squares. There is business to discuss. She wants in the executive training program, and throws an epic and hilarious fit over learning Ciara got in instead. After insulting the poor lemon squares, she takes them both out.
The best was watching the three killers arguing over who’s kills are the most impressive, while Marlena deems her co-killers as rookies. Overall, this episode perfect viewing for a day where horror rules.
