‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers prove there’s a long history behind the famous hourglass. In over fifty years on the air, countless actors and stories made their mark on the fictional town. It’s been on so long, many fans weren’t even born yet when the series premiered. That’s a lot of hours. But how many? Here’s what you need to know.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Doing the math
Freddie Smith, who plays Sonny Kiriakis on the show, has the answer. More accurately, he and Chandler Massey, who plays former love Will Horton on the show. In a tweet on his official account, he announced the pair has been busy off-screen. They did the math, and it’s a real mind-blower. According to the pair, it would take 405 days of 24-hour viewing to fully catch up on the goings-on in Salem.
@ChandlerMassey and I did the math. If you want to watch every Days of Our Lives episode ever made to date, it would take about 405 days straight. 24hrs a day to watch every episode! #DaysOfOurLives @nbcdays

Fans quickly responded to this. One fan only wanted to binge the episodes that feature the currently-separated WilSon. Other fans responded that they will happily accept that challenge—if they knew where to get the old episodes.
Still other fans had more specific questions. One asked if that included the years the show was only a half-hour. Others wondered whether or not that total accounts for skipping commercials. Another fan countered that it would take 648 days to catch up on the series, if they only watched 16 hours a day instead of 24. Sounds like an opportunity to us, if the producers are listening. Fans are clearly ready and willing to take a trip down memory lane with some of the OG characters and story lines. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal that it may, or may not, be a less distressing way to spend a few hours than the current episodes.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Back in Salem
Fans are divided on the November 8th Time Jump that wreaked havoc on the fictional town. In particular, it was rough on Sonny and Will. We learned in the episodes since that Will went to jail for killing Adrienne, although it definitely appears to be an accident. Even so, the tragedy is hard for Sonny to deal with. He, in fact, is still partially in denial over his mother’s death, still expecting her to call at any time.
For Will’s part, he’s sensed this. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate he took a noble approach to the situation. Knowing it hurt Sonny to see him, Will told him to quit visiting. Judging by some of his comments, we think this might be partly for his own peace of mind as well. Will is riddled with guilt over what happened, and it seems to be just as rough on him to face the one whose world he blew up. Can they survive this tragic twist? Will fans ever get to try taking the viewing challenge? We’ll have to wait and see.
