'Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Is Adam Newman Really A Devil In Disguise?

‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is a man with a heart, but he’s also a man with a mission. Ever since his return to Genoa City, he’s managed to shake things up for the Newman family and everyone around him. And while a lot of people think that he’s the devil (like his siblings), some people think he’s just a little misunderstood. Here’s what you need to know.

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Is Adam Newman Really A Devil In Disguise?

While Adam Newman certainly has managed to keep people on his toes, it’s not like he’s doing this without a purpose. He believes that he’s been wronged by his family members, and especially by his own father Victor Newman (Eric Braden), who he just happens to share a lot of interesting qualities with.

As a matter of fact, Mark Grossman, who plays Adam on the hit CBS soap, recently told Soaps in Depth in an interview, “Well, I think he’s a lot like Victor! There are moments when Adam is nice and vulnerable and compassionate, but then he can also be really ruthless and deceptive. But it’s a lot like real life, because I don’t think everybody is all good or all bad.”

Adam also said that he’s having a lot of fun playing the character and that being on a fast-paced soap like ‘Young and the Restless’ is certainly keeping him on his toes.

“I think it’s fun, because you never know where it’s going to go. In a TV series or a movie, you can read the script and see where the arc is. But in soaps, you don’t know where the arc is. And I find that exciting. That’s why every time I get the newest script, I’m like, ‘Ooh, what’s going to happen?’”
