‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: What’s wrong with Denise Richards
The decision to go public with any kind of medical diagnosis is never an easy one. Denise decided to do so after she had to address her own daughter’s chromosomal disorder previously. She said that fans were noticing things that were different about her, and while she could have just said nothing and ignored it all, leading to a lot of speculation on the part of fans. (You know how social media can be.) So with the support of encouraging fans, she decided to face her own medical dilemma head-on.
Richards said that she was so touched by how “supportive and really wonderful everyone has been” about the entire situation. This is a prime example of the good that social media can be used for. If the fans had not noticed things on the reunion show and reached out, then Denise may not have gotten anything checked out and she could still very well be in danger. Thyroid problems are nothing to sneeze at, if left untreated for long periods of time they can do serious bodily damage and if left untreated for long enough, one’s very life is at stake. So this time, the fans did well! Good job.
