‘Bold and Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that in a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, fans noticed that something was off about Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton), that her thyroid was really enlarged. Thanks to a lot of fans caring enough to contact the ‘Bold and the Beautiful ‘star, she went and got it checked out and has now implemented lifestyle changes that will greatly help her medical condition.

In an instagram post she went on to say this: “It’s amazing to me in a short time eliminating gluten from my diet how much my thyroid has changed. A few of you pointed out after the #RHOBH reunion that my thyroid was enlarged. You were right, it was something I ignored until pointed out. I had no idea how much our diet really can affect our body and for me how toxic gluten really is … I thank all of you who sent me messages. #selfcare.”

The decision to go public with any kind of medical diagnosis is never an easy one. Denise decided to do so after she had to address her own daughter’s chromosomal disorder previously. She said that fans were noticing things that were different about her, and while she could have just said nothing and ignored it all, leading to a lot of speculation on the part of fans. (You know how social media can be.) So with the support of encouraging fans, she decided to face her own medical dilemma head-on.
Richards said that she was so touched by how “supportive and really wonderful everyone has been” about the entire situation. This is a prime example of the good that social media can be used for. If the fans had not noticed things on the reunion show and reached out, then Denise may not have gotten anything checked out and she could still very well be in danger. Thyroid problems are nothing to sneeze at, if left untreated for long periods of time they can do serious bodily damage and if left untreated for long enough, one’s very life is at stake.
