'General Hospital' Spoilers: What Does Billy Miller's Potential Exit Mean For Drew Cain?

‘General Hospital (GH)’ spoilers have been hinting at a pending farewell for the actor behind Drew Cain. It’s been out there since at least early this year, and the show might be setting the groundwork. Here’s what you need to know.

‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers: What Does Billy Miller’s Potential Exit Mean For Drew Cain?

So, again, we’ve been seeing a lot of rumors for quite some time. That might be changing soon. Recent talk online is hinting that a formal announcement might be coming sooner than we know.

If so, this is yet another in a long line of Daytime farewells or switches in recent months, including Michelle Stafford (Ex-Nina Reeves) and Elizabeth Henderickson (Ex-Margaux Dawson). These GH alums actually ended up switching to The Young and the Restless, along with Greg Rikaart (Ex-Leo Stark, Days of Our Lives).

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Bumpy road

Let’s face it: Drew’s time in Port Charles lately has been a tough road. He only recently met his son, Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt) only to tragically lose the teenager to a brain tumor.

Besides that, he’s had to deal with suddenly (and temporarily) going blind thanks to an experiment on twins he was unwittingly involved in, and ended up nearly killing Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) when that sudden condition happened while driving.

Not only that, but there was friction between him and twin Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that Oscar was concerned enough about to make them promise to come together, and he basically has no memory of his past while trying to keep Oscar alive in his other daughter’s memory. Wow. We’re feeling overwhelmed just recapping all that.

Still, there’s one more Oscar-related situation that might just spell the end of Drew in Port Charles.

‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Dealing with trauma?

Recently, Drew was drugged and nearly raped by Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) to try keeping Oscar alive through a full sibling. This attempt was stopped by Julian Jerome (William DeVry) catching the pair, but the incident, once Drew was lucid enough to realize what happened, clearly freaked him out. And with good reason, right?

This isn’t the first time he’s had to deal with extra stress in the wake of Oscar’s death. During their climb of Kilimajaro to spread Oscar’s ashes, Kim became delusional from lack of sleep, stress, and grief. She hallucinated that Drew was actually Oscar, and Drew was forced to play along as best he could to keep her calm in the meantime.

With all that extra stress, it would be totally reasonable for Drew to decide to get out of town a while. Plus, the trauma that he’s surely dealing with after Kim’s attempt at a new baby would likely make it hard to run into her, as he’ll be likely to do as long as he’s in town.

‘General Hospital’ spoilers: His past lives?

There’s another thing that could send Drew away. Recently, a hospital employee who’s clearly Dawn of Day spied on him as he was discussing the device that’s holding all of his memories. Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) has brought the subject of those memories up often, and it’s possible that Shiloh might already have access to them. There could be something contained in there that would be so painful (or shameful) that he might have no choice but to take some alone time. We can’t imagine these memories not coming to the forefront sometime soon, as they’ve been mentioned so often.
