It almost appears as though the character is going to hit rock bottom before actress Michelle Stafford takes over for outgoing star Gina Tognoni. That’s why a lot of people can’t help but wonder if things will turn around the moment Michelle makes her debut as the new Phyllis in Genoa City. Here’s what you need to know.

For the last several weeks, it has appeared as though Phyllis’ life just couldn’t get any worse. She got dumped by Jabot and everyone she’s ever known to love has turned their backs on her, including her own daughter Summer Newman (Hunter King). If that weren’t enough, she also got into a car crash with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), made a fool out of herself at a Jabot celebration and is the most hated person in town right now. And just when you thought that things couldn’t get any worse for her, she’s also been kidnapped by Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart).
Because Michelle Stafford will be taking over the role very soon, we know that Phyllis Summers won’t be going anywhere, anytime soon. But if there’s one thing that we know, it’s that things have to get better for Phyllis. Right now she is looking at her life from the bottom of the barrel with no money, no hope, no friends or no future for that matter.

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Michelle Stafford is already on the set of the hit CBS show and is filming new episodes as Phyllis. Needless to say, we can’t wait to find out what the writers have in store for her. Right now, Adam and Kevin have struck a deal that involves dealing a kidnapped Phyllis for Chloe. Of course, once Phyllis makes her reemergence it will be in the form of the original Phyllis: Michelle Stafford.

Phyllis has always been a hotrod for trouble. She just can’t help it, but everywhere she goes she leaves a trail of drama and chaos. And this is why we love the character! Of course, fans have recently voiced their opinion at Gina’s departure with many being upset that the actress who has managed to make the role her own will no longer be on the show. Some others, of course, are glad to have the original Phyllis back.
jOne thing we know, is that there will be hell to pay when Phyllis wakes up! She’s not one to take slights lying on her back, so Kevin Fisher better make sure he knows what’s coming to him. Seeing as how Phyllis and Adam were supposedly aligned before Kevin made his dark appearance, it’s possible that he talks some sense into her and not go for vengeance. But all of these recent situations are leading towards Adam Newman getting closer to his ultimate goal: taking back Christian and getting his financial due from the Newmans. Just how exactly Phyllis fits into that end game remains to be seen but fans will find out soon enough!
