‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have major comings and goings news to report. Multiple sources are currently reporting that Billy Miller is out at ABC’s General Hospital as Drew Cain. This news comes as a shock to many as Drew is a well-liked character. Here’s what you need to know.
‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers: Billy Miller OUT At GH As Drew Cain!
According to TV Source, there are quite a few rumors going around about a certain someone’s upcoming departure on GH, and that certain someone happens to be Billy Miller, AKA, Drew Cain. In spite of winning three daytime Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Jason Morgan’s identical twin, rumor has it that Miller feels that it’s time to move on and embrace other roles. While we will be cheering him on from the sidelines, he will be missed at GH.
Back in 2014, he was originally brought on as a Jason Morgan recast after Burton vacated the role. The story was that after a long, complicated, and difficult child and young adulthood, Drew Cain was conditioned by Andre Maddox into thinking that he was Jason Morgan because unlike Drew, the real Jason Morgan had been brain-damaged and couldn’t be controlled. Drew however, was controllable and made into a sleeper by Faison and his son Henrik, AKA, Peter August.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Some Backstory
You’d think during all this espionage, Drew wouldn’t have found time for love but that wouldn’t be true. He had a son with former lover Dr. Kim Nero in 2001, though he didn’t know anything about him until years later. He was also, at one time, married to Sam McCall and had a daughter with her, named Scout.
He also has a few besties, Franco Baldwin (whom he was raised with), and Curtis Ashford. Drew’s also close with his Step-Mom, Monica Quartermaine. However, in spite of sharing a womb at one time, he and brother Jason don’t really see eye-to-eye on anything and don’t really see each other in a very familial way.
General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Drew Cain (Billy Miller)?
Even though at the end of his life, Oscar wanted to see all that change and for them to start bonding as a family—that probably won’t happen now that Oscar’s time here on earth is gone. No word yet on how Drew’s exit will happen, if it’s temporary or permanent, but it may have something to do with the recent trip to Kilimanjaro to scatter Oscar’s ashes.
After all, Kilimanjaro is known as the stairway to heaven and… oh well, let’s not think about that too much. We’ll enjoy the time Billy has left on GH and hope that if Drew does exit, that a window can be left open so he can come back at any time. Stay tuned!!!
